FNB, together with the South African Reserve Bank, National Treasury and Banking Association of South Africa (BASA) are working together to help businesses through the pandemic, especially those whose financial position has been impacted by COVID-19.
Various forms of assistance are available to businesses from private individuals and organisations, with FNB administering some of this funding on behalf of the third parties.
This information guide is intended to help FNB Business banking customers in understanding the other COVID-19 relief measures that are available to your business and how you can access them.
In response to COVID-19, and with the aim to mitigate the immediate economic impact, the Oppenheimer family pledged R1 billion to extend a financial lifeline to employees of South African small, medium and micro-sized enterprises (SMMEs).
Due to the overwhelming number of applications for SAFT funding, our portion of the fund is now fully subscribed. More than 2300 businesses and more than 17 000 employees have been assisted by FNB through the SAFT fund.
